A 10-digit long code (10DLC) is a dedicated number that’s been approved by mobile carriers for business texting purposes. Using a registered 10DLC allows you to send higher volumes of messages while reducing your chances of triggering carrier spam filters.
All businesses that want to send SMS and MMS messages from a 10-digit phone number in the U.S. must register their 10DLC with The Campaign Registry.
Text messages sent from unregistered numbers are heavily filtered by carriers, so your messages may be flagged and blocked.
